CSS Corporate Solutions LLC- PSC Coordinator




CSS Corporate Solutions was established in 2004 to help small and medium-sized companies compete more effectively in the global market by providing consulting services. The Company is currently looking for a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Coordinator.
Job Scope:
Manage all subsurface activities relating to exploration, appraisal and development, from long-term strategic to short-term operational objectives. Drive subsurface elements of exploration / development / production projects and acquisition evaluations.Job Objectives:
• Coordinate and integrate the Geoscience aspects of the company by overseeing exploration of new drillable prospects and the development of the geological framework and reservoir models leading to reservoir simulation and field development planning of a new acreage / block.
• To manage a balanced exploration / appraisal portfolio and development of new block, maximising value and expanding the asset base of the company.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with PSC partners, government agencies, contractors and key supporting bodies.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide technically sound proposals by conducting detailed acreage / block, prospects and assets evaluation as input for business decision.
• Lead in exploration block evaluation, 2D/3D seismic data acquisition / processing, mapping and prospect generation / evaluation, preparation of reports, presentations and recommendations on block evaluation to senior management for decision making.
• Plan, design and supervise 2D/3D seismic acquisition, processing / reprocessing and other geophysical programmes and monitor work progress in order to get the best quality data for interpretation.
• Provides geophysical proficiency and support to all aspects of the company's PSC (Production Sharing Contract) exploration and development activities, including reviews, interpretation and maps seismic data relating to operated and non-operated projects.
• Define and promote the application of new technology requirements for long term company’s business needs to achieve reserve targets.
• Provide input to geophysical evaluation and support as part of the technical review to be conducted later for the new field especially in reservoir characterization including seismic attributes analysis (seismic inversion, AVO analysis ... etc).
• Carry out detail G&G interpretation and mapping integrating all available geological / geophysical data for regional play analysis, prospect evaluation, appraisal and development activities.
• Developing and recommending well locations and evaluation programs, ensuring that a culture of strong and effective team-work exists in the subsurface team.
• To maintain close working relationships with partners (NAPIMS), drilling and completion team, project teams and contractors.
• To manage and coordinate contractor operations in relation to the acquisition and post-acquisition processing of Geophysical and Petrophysical data, and to effectively monitor contractor operations and report on contractor performance in accordance with company standards and best practises.

Requirements:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences.
• At least 12+ years' experience, leadership flair and proven track record of exploration success. Resolute belief in high quality technical insight as the basis for optimal decision-making.
• Must understand the basics of Production Sharing Contract (PSC).
• Must be conversant with NAPIMS working methodologies, DPR and other Nigerian government agencies.
• Strong background in Seismic acquisition, Processing and Interpretation.
• Fully conversant in the use of G&G databases, geological interpretation softwares (e.g. Petrel or Landmark ). Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Operational experience in West Africa especially in the Niger Delta environment preferably with an Operating oil company will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills in English – both written and verbal is a must.
• Ability to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary / multi-cultural team to achieve goals, and to identify and resolve problems.
• Must be a logical analytical thinker able to think through complex technical issues in a focused, clear and effective manner.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and presentational skills within a multicultural environment.
• Resourceful and skilled in developing relationships, able to coach, mentor and motivate, extracting optimum contributions from individuals.
