Treasurer

 An International Energy Company is looking for a Treasurer.
Description Purpose Statement:
• To adequately manage the Balance Sheet of the entire organisation such that assets are fully utilized but are not at risk. • He/ she will ensure the optimal deployment of the resources and the adequate funding of all projects and working capital.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Set Policies and Objectives for Treasury Management within the Group
• Ensure that efficient and best practice treasury processes are implemented and monitored.
• Ensure the implementation of a Treasury Management system (software) which meets the needs of the Group.
• Build a competent Treasury Team; train treasury staff.
• Maintain good working relationships with financial institutions and all Financial Regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all financial transactions fall within legal limits.
• Ensure that all relevant returns as required by law are prepared and submitted within the stipulated time frame.
• Work with management to determine the appropriate capital structure for each company within the Group and ensure this structure is implemented and maintained.
• Ensure funding requirements for all projects/ assets are met and all loans structured in the most cost effective manner at the minimum level of risk and in line with budgetary requirements.
• Ensure adequate working capital provision.
• Generate income on the company's assets using sophisticated treasury products.
• Ensure efficient and effective cash management Group wide.
• Constantly work to reduce the cost of borrowing to the Group as a whole.
• Ensure the mitigation of all types of risk to the Groups financial assets.
• Safe guard the Group's Balance Sheet.
Skills      Minimum Qualification requirements:
• University graduate with minimum of 12 years work experience at least 5 of which should have be in treasury or related services
• Professional accounting/finance qualification
• Capital Market exposure
